CONSERVATIVE THINKERS:  WAKE UP!
YOU ARE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES!

Folks, y'all better wake up!  There are powerful forces at work right now who are trying to shove your point of view out of the mainstream, and into the shadowy world of "hate-speech."  They have a lot of money, a lot of influence, and are not afraid to stoop to angry rhetoric and personal attacks to advance their agenda.  They are...George Soros, liberal bloggers, the Hollywood elite, and the mainstream media.

Here are some examples of liberal influence that you may or may not know about:

1)  San Francisco transsexual Theresa Sparks has been elected president of the San Francisco Police Commission.  One of this panel's purposes is to investigate alleged offenses committed by San Fran police against civilians.  Now, while man-turned-woman Ms. Sparks' personal life and decisions are no concern of mine, I find it unlikely that he/she will be able to remain objective when investigating alleged violations by SF police against the gay/lesbian/transgender community in that decidedly liberal city.  Also, this is a city whose mayor, Gavin Newsom, has basically declared San Francisco to be a sanctuary city for illegal aliens by stating that he will not cooperate with federal immigration raids and round-ups of illegals in his city.

2)  Liberal lunatic actors Rosie O'Donnell and Charlie Sheen are outspoken in their shared belief that the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 were an inside job, not the work of "19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75% of their targets," and that the collapse of the Trade Center towers were a "controlled demolition."  What's worse, tens of thousands of Americans agree with them!  I personally know two guys who spout this nonsense on a regular basis, and the only thing that stops me from laughing in their delusional faces is that one guy is very large, and the other guy is his father!  By the way, these two geniuses also believe that the moon landings were staged in a canyon in Idaho...I'm not kidding...

3)  In 2005, the American Civil Liberties Union called for the censure of Harvard University president Lawrence Summers for suggesting that innate differences between men and women might be one reason fewer women succeed in math and science careers, essentially saying that men are smarter at math and science than women.  Summers later resigned his position partly as a result of the firestorm of criticism his comments created.  Now, the ACLU is backing fired University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill, who disgustingly called workers at the World Trade Center "little Eichmanns," stating that the 9/11 victims participated in an ongoing genocidal American imperialism reminiscent of Adolf Eichmann's organization of the Holocaust.  The ACLU says his comments were "free speech."  Here's my take:  while both statements were reprehensible, Summers was an administrator with limited contact with students and no instructional position.  Churchill had daily contact with students, and ample opportunity to influence young minds with his radical views.  Which do you think is worse?

4)  The DailyKos.com is a liberal blog whose participants are some of the worst character assassins on the web.  They post vicious, hate-filled personal assaults online with glee against anyone they disagree with.  The weekend of July 28, 2007, they held their annual YearlyKos convention in Chicago, and guess who was scheduled to appear?  Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, John Edwards, and Bill Richardson.  Why would these presidential wanna-bes want to associate with such vile individuals, you ask?  Two reasons:  the candidates want their money, and the candidates are afraid of the liberal blogosphere.  The DailyKos, and other far-left blogs, have a lot of backing from some very wealthy people, like liberal billionaire George Soros.  The candidates will eagerly suckle at such a teet.  In addition, DailyKos and their allies will launch venomous attacks against any public figure they deem unworthy.  Take a look at their site sometime.  In particular, witness how they treat one of their own, Mrs. Clinton.  Apparently she's not wacko-left enough for them.  And you don't even need to look to know how they treat President Bush...

But the thing that really worries me, and should worry you too, is the well-funded and coordinated assault on conservative viewpoints in the media, specifically, Fox News Channel, and conservative talk radio.

Right now, as we sit on our collective butts, MoveOn.org (funded primarily by George Soros), the Campaign for America's Future, and liberal blogs like DailyKos are encouraging supporters to track advertising on Fox News.  According to FOXNews.com (7/28/07), so far, five thousand people across the country have agreed, and are compiling advertising logs on companies running ads on FNC.  Once they have a suitable database, they will begin a phone campaign intended to intimidate companies into pulling their advertising from the network.  This campaign will focus on smaller, local companies, which are much easier to bully than national, name-brand corporations.

Right now, as we watch the same mind-numbing episode of "The Simpsons" for the 50th time, and greedily suck the Cheeto residue from the tips of our fat fingers, their is a push for a revival of a defunct communications law in th liberal-controlled Congress.  The "Fairness In Broadcasting" Act, which is really a law promoting censorship, was rightly vetoed by President Reagan in 1987.  Essentially, what this law does is require equal time be given on radio and television to opposing viewpoints.  For example, if Sean Hannity is on the air for three hours a day on FMTalk 93.9, then a liberal talker, say Al Franken, must have three hours a day on the same station.  Sounds fair, right?  But here's the problem:  evidence has repeatedly shown that liberal talk radio does not sell.  Perhaps the best example is "AirAmerica," a liberal radio network that featured shows by the above-mentioned Franken and Jeanine Garofalo, among others.  The network went bankrupt within two years of its inception because listeners and advertisers ran away from the constant, hate-filled, vitriolic screeching.  And this network is just the most recent example of liberal failure on the airwaves.  Now there are members of both houses of Congress, fueled by liberal activists, who are pushing to resurrect this law, saying that talk radio is overwhelmingly conservative, and should be balanced.  But they know full well that the underlying intention of the law is censorship.  If liberal talk radio can't survive, and all talk radio stations are required to give equal time to both sides, then rather than lose money on tanking ratings 12 hours a day, those stations will just dump both sides and change formats.  So crazy Jeanine will be off the air, but so will Hannity, and Neil Bort, and Bill O'Reilly, and a lot of other conservative hosts.  There goes the most successful vehicle for the expression of conservative ideology.  This at the same time that Fox News is under attack for being too right-leaning, while left-leaning philosophy dominates PBS, the major networks, and print media, and no one is screaming about it.

What really scares the poop out of me is that all of this is happening out in the open.  The liberals aren't hiding.  They're taking it right at us.  And there is virtually no conservative grassroots opposition to it.  There are only a handful of Republicans in Congress who are even acknowledging it.  Where is the outrage?!  Where is the spirit that swept conservatives into power in the 90s?  The unpopularity of the Iraq war has sapped conservative strength, and turned Republicans in Congress into cowering wimps, afraid to speak out for fear of losing their position.

In an era when organizations like the ACLU attack conservative values on a regular basis, when conservative viewpoints are under threat of censorship, when the current political climate makes it highly likely that Congress will become more liberal after next year's elections, leading to madness like amnesty for 12 - 20 million illegal aliens, higher taxes, leniency for such scum as child molesters, and the repealing of the Patriot Act, and when the chances of a liberal being elected President are very good, the time to stand up for conservative American values is now.  Turn off your TV, put down that beer, and call or e-mail your congressmen and senators.  Organize marches and protests to get the word out about what is happening.  And, please, take an active role in the democratic process of volunteering for your candidate, or if you can't support a candidate, run for office yourself.

This country is on a slippery slope.  It's not too late to turn the tide, but it will be...soon.
